Gasping for Air

It's happened to me twice in the past couple of days. I've had it before but not so frequently.

"paralysis sufferers tend to fixate on reestablishing operation of the body" and then I come out of it kicking and punching and gasping for air. It really sucks when it happens and I'm sleeping on my stomach because sometimes a blanket or pillow gets in the way of my breathing and feel like i'm going suffocate if I can't regain control of my body soon enough. Who knows, maybe I would have if I hadn't pulled out of it. My most recent experiences, this morning and two mornings ago, were not so bad since I was sleeping on my side and back respectively.

On a side note, I've also had dreams where I'm drowning, but usually what happens there is that my body will naturally gasp for air. And even though it would probably cause me to drown in a real situation, I'm saved in the dream. Suddenly the dream adapts so that I have the magic ability to breathe under water.
