Once upon a time...

Once there was a man who wanted very much to be famous. He tried with all his might to make a difference in the World so that he could be remembered and go down in history. Sadly he did not succeed. So instead, he decided he would write an autobiography so that he could at least go down in his story. He called it My Me Story, but soon after he died, his existence became his mystery.

After a much anticipated break.

I guess I was ready enough for that Friday but it turns out there was a lot more to be unprepared for, which was having to work the next day. I wasn't expecting to work the first day I got back. I didn't really consider working at all last week, but the money was nice, and I got a little bit of a work out, that which is lacking here at college.
Music cheers me up,
I also got to see a bunch of people from high school. Some one thought it would be a good idea to have a "1.5 year reunion" and that's the most pathetic thing I've ever heard of. I've heard of a 1 year reunion, but this was a half year, what's that about? Anyway, I still went because it was fun to, and I knew it would be before I went, so there. Oh, and I definitely made time to visit the girl of my dreams. You know the one...
especially if it's about the big guy.
I've got to get busy I've got some drawings to do for my design class and I probably have some homework waiting for me, posted on the Internet. There are a lot of drawings, I won't be here for a while.

I had to do a system restore on my compy so I lost aol, bummer. I'll get it back soom enough.

Playing the System

While signing up for classes, I noticed that I have 9.5 credits so far. I still need 2 or 3 at least to become a full time student. But the 9.5 credits add up to 17 hours of my week, so if I get a 3 credit class, chances are I will have 20 hours of school or more and I don't feel like taking much more than that. I'm thinking of taking some chemistry, physics, or biology as my free electives. As crazy as it may sound, I kind of miss science classes. Anyway, I may be getting gypped out of time and not being given credits for it, but I am getting them back in my own personal way. The reason why I haven't signed up for my last class, is that I'm looking not for a certain subject, but a certain time slot. If I get the one I want, I'll end up with no school on Monday, and only one hour of lecture on Friday from 12:10 to 1:00. That's right folks, you read it right, and you can go back if you need to and read it again, that's a three and a half day weekend! I kind of fell into that last semester, and now that I have tasted it, I want more. It's also way good for the way I operate, because I need large blocks of time in order to be efficient and/or even motivated to do homework. Three and a half days should be plenty of time to do that, among other things.

Beating the Odds

Last night, things were not looking good. I didn't know if I was going to make it through. Last night, at 7:00, I started studying for a test that I had today at 10:00 in the morning, the funny thing is that's saying something, because I rarely even look over the material. Last night, I also had to some math homework that was due this morning, which I didn't start until somewhere around 1:00 in the morning. I also had a project to do that I should have dedicated a whole day to last weekend, that was due this morning. I decided not to do the project last night before I went to bed around 3:30. This project involved walking around campus to find at least twelve memorials and having to find at least two in each of four designated areas spread out across campus. And man, it was cold this morning, I just didn't feel like being that cold before I went to bed.
If you don't know if I got done with all these things...
Now that it's all over I can finally do an indepth check on my blogs, emails, and on facebook. I can also do my laundry, and while I do that, I plan on reading ahead in my text book/s so that I don't get in a predicament like that again. Hooray fot that!
and did good on the test, look at the title of the post!
We had the first real snow of the year today, in the region. I forgot how harsh the weather is. Despite that, and both of my pairs of tennis shoes being soaked due to the weather, this turned out to be one of the best days academically and in turn all together, that I've had here at college yet.

The Awakening.

Realizing the importance of things is like being awake to me. Staying up 'til 2:00 in the morning two nights in a row working on a project is like having a good alarm clock. The problem is that it will only be a matter of time before I either drift back asleep to the drone of my alarm clock, or I get sick of it all and hit the snooze button and fall back asleep almost immediately. When will I be able to stay awake long enough to snap out of this vicious cycle.
Not in my house, not in your house, not in their house.
"Arr!" says the pirate. "I'm going to bed," he says.

All the World goes by when Time Stops.

Okay, my speedometer is broken on my car. It happened on my second to last interstate trip. It just reads zero all the time, so I have no idea how fast I'm going. Anyway, if you think about it, it displays your velocity, right? Velocity = distance / time. And since I am going somewhere, there has to be a distance, but the speedometer says I'm not moving at all, so that must mean that time has stopped (the other reasoning behind this is that the clock in my car is way off and cannot be trusted until it has been reset, therefore I have no idea whether time is really moving or not). The point of this story is to tell you, that you cannot believe how weird it is to have experienced the speedometer at zero but still be going somewhere. It's almost as if time has stopped but, everyone is still going about their business (the world goes by). But the bad thing is that you cannot divide by zero time. It is mathematically impossible. So I may, inadvertently, be causing the space time continuum to collapse and ultimately destroy the Universe as we know it. Sorry everbody.

Or... Maybe it is more like, my car gives me the special ability to not exist (because you can't divide by zero) while I'm driving around. And I just come back into existence at the arrival of my destination. Sort of like when they appearate in Harry Potter, or like teleporting, or beaming, ha ha ha...

"Beam me up, Scottie"

Only it's not instantanious like in those situations (sigh). If only (trails off)...

Dream world.

Sometimes I get the feeling that I'm living in the dream world. Sometimes, I get the feeling that other people think I'm living in a dream world, but they don't bother to tell me when I don't realize it. Or least that they don't tell me directly.
Are you strange like me?
I know I'm strange sometimes, but I could stand to know some of those times.

The end of the Universe

Okay, So I am here to answer the questions of the Universe. I know you have all been dieing to find out! And I have a quote from someone in my Bible Study.
Does the Universe end, or go on forever?
If it ends, where does it end?
Is there intelligent life in the Universe other than us, is other life at all?

I don't intend to tell you the answers because I don't know (only that one guy does and we put nails in him). But, I do have it narrowed down to two theories.

1) Does the Universe go on forever? If it does, where does it end?
Theory A) Yes it does. But, I am going to say that there is an end to the universe, and that it can only extend on forever because at the all the ends of the universe exist either identical universes or alternate universes (slightly different from the last). Similar to the movie Pleasant Ville when they are learning about geography while they are in the TV show. Perhaps if there are alternate universes, you can progress through them and find something different from one universe to the next until it has become completely unrecognizable to you. This theory is not as clean cut as the next though.
Theory B) No, the Unierse does not extend on forever, the universe has a definite boundary. Experts (I just made this up, there are no experts) say that our galaxy is approximately in the exact middle between the center of the universe and edge of the universe and that we are orbiting at a speed of seven hundred and thirteen thousand Earth years per revolution of the center of the Universe. Experts (again, there are no real, consulted experts) also say that the Universe resembles the shape of a Recess Peanut Butter Cup, but it's hard to tell for sure because we are unable to view it from the outside. Nor do we have a camera that big. This means that we are somewhere in the Peanut Butter Region of the Universe. Scientists in the field continue to argue whether or not God and Mother Nature had been walking along, one with the peanut butter and one with the chocolate, when they had bumped into each other and accidentally invented the Universe as we know it today. Still, all the scientists who believe this to be true argue who had the peanut butter and who had the chocolate.
The beauty of this theory is that anything outside of the Universe is non-existent. Therefore, the need to explain this theory and why there isn't anything outside the Universe doesn't exist because your thoughts about what's are outside of the Universe (thinking outside of the box, if you will. Or in some cases thinking outside of the bun) must be in the context of non-existence in which case you thoughts become non-existent along with everything, or shall I say nothing that is outside of the Universe.

2)Is there intelligent life in the Universe other than us, is other life at all?
We can break this up into my two other theories...
Theory A -intelligence) Okay, If the there are alternate or identical Universes outside of this one, then of course there is other intelligent life. It at least has to exist in this part of the Universe of other our neighboring Universes. But it it is Uncertain whether or not there is other intelligent life than here on Earth in this Universe.
Theory B -intelligence) Yes, there has to be. I cannot explain why or give you proof, but I find it unlikely that we are the only living organisms ever to exist in the Universe. Unless... you are going along with the Creation story of the Bible, then we must be the only ones, and when God said to multiply and inhabit the Earth, he was also referring to to the rest of the Universe. That (I guess) seems the like the more likely and valid answer to me. But, how do we know that the Egyptians, the Romans, the Greeks or the people of the Mid-Evil time period didn't secretly already send people off into the Universe and they have since then evolved differently into other more or less intelligent creatures like ourselves. How do you know?

Things that amaze me.

I'm enjoying the weekend with no obligations, nothing planned to do, 'cept homework. Takin' it easy feels good. I just have a drawing to do and a practice math test.

I've been saving this up for a while: A list of things that amaze me.
God and Jesus
Prayer
Jessica
Mathematics/Geometry
prime numbers especially #'s 3, 7, 11, 13
music
art
the free masons and the key stone
the size of the world and the crazy number of people in it
The solar system, galaxy and universe
the invisible cloak in Harry Potter
and the invisible hand that runs our economy.

That's all I have for now, but I may add more later...

Open doors and open windows.

They say that if one door closes another one opens in it's place. Does that mean that if another one opens that the other door has already closed. Did I miss that? I don't know.
[EDIT] (Added)
I just realized we are going to have a friday the thirteenth. Hooray! This is awesome, I love that. The number thirteen fascinates me especially since there are some strong superstitions related to it. To me a number like that would be lucky, but only because everyone else thinks it's not lucky.

My quality bike.

So, it all started when I started perfecting my biking skills, cause I know that girls only like guys with skills and I needed to work on mine (lol, jk). But I do like to have fun on my bike. I can ride no handed, no handed standing up, no handed and no footed sitting down, I can ride wheelies for a considerable distance, I can even ride down flights of stairs that are about five or ten different steps long. So, I knew it, I knew that going down steps would be hard on the bike. I didn't think the bike was too weak to take it though. On Friday I decided that I would ride down two in a row as I went to get my car so I could move to a new residence hall. It was pretty fun, and nothing happened to the bike, mind you. Later though, I was about a block away from my car, I popped the front wheel over the curb and let the back one come up on its own as I rode over the curb. In doing so I heard this loud cracking sound, as if something had dropped on the pavement or something. I looked back to the spot where I was to see what I had dropped, but there was nothing there. I was bewildered, what could it be, I started to search the body of my vehichle for damage. I looked between my legs at the chain sprocket on the back tire... nothing. Then I looked at the chain sprocket with the pedals on it... nothing. I was starting to have doubts. I checked to see if the cheap bottle holder was still attatched... still nothing. In doing all this I had become aware of a strange gravitational sort of feeling that seemed to be pulling me to the left. Then, there in the distance (okay, okay, I admitt it was only right in front of my eyes) I spotted the problem. All I could do is burst out laughing. The bottom part of the frame had snapped at the part where it meets above the wheels and by he handle bars. This is a bike frame we're talking about, these things don't just snap... I mean, come on, seriously. (Good ol' Huffinator bikes). The top part of the frame had been bent, which had allowed for the breaking point to have quite a gap in it. The bike had been designed to feed the break and gear cables throught the frame. It's pretty much a horrible diesign since it makes it harder to replace them and I later realized that they make fine weak spots in the frame and those two spots are where it broke and bent on the frame (where there were hole in it). Luckily I didn't have much more to go and more importantly I didn't get hurt. It was funny. Now I live closer to all my classes, but if want to get somewhere fast I've been reduced back to skates. Oh well they are fun.

I am not a cold

I am not a cold.
I have a cold,
and I am cold,
but I am not a cold!

Considering the lack of sleep and food, I don't feel that tired or hungry. I've been up since yesterday morning except the part where I took a nap from 4-7 PM yesterday. And the last time I ate was lunch yesterday. You'd think that being up so long would require me to eat something in order to not feel so hungry. Then again, I have found lately, that I can't stand to eat as much as I usually do.

Anyway I was still up, and I wasn't very tired, so I thought I would post something.

One Fine Day (I'm gonna get it straightened out)

The Udeck (dining hall nickname) is bad for me. I can eat once in the morning before 8:00, and that will last me until around 8:00 at night. I feel like a dog, you know?, the ones that you can't give them too much food, because if you do, they will eat it, and it will make them sick. I get too full, and too often. I am curious to know what I weigh right now. I sort of made a habit of weighing myself daily, after having been in wrestling. I just like to know.

My drawing is going well for my Design Representation class. It got a lot better really fast all of the sudden. But I still have some kinks to work out.

Things to finally do, no more messing around: Read HP, the Bible, start running, and lifting weights.

H Double U

Can I get a Hoo Ha two times Tuesday?

Hoo Ha...

One test last Friday. One test yesterday. One test this Friday, which will have a part two to finish next Monday. And I have a test the Friday after the next Friday(third Friday from now. I better get studying.
Or play Mortal Kombat!
I also have a great deal of drawing to do for my design representation class.

I had more things to write about, but I forgot what they were. Maybe I will add to this later.

[EDIT]

I remembered, I was going to tell everyone that I am going to start working out this week. I figured if I told people, I would be more committed to actually doing it. That is all! Oh and I started watching animae (sp?)a lot more lately.

Point of View

Here is my stubbornness at work:(I don't mean this in a negative way, it's more of an inside look on my perspective.)

I believe that if I mean for something to be in a good way, you can't possibly understand it what I mean or how I mean it, until you have received what I am saying in "a good way". Don't tell me you know what I'm talking about, but you still think it was bad thing or you've taken it in a bad way. It doesn't make sense you would be disagreeing with yourself. Stop it! And don't lie to me, don't tell me you agree and that you think it's a good thing or that you've taken it in a good way if you don't think that. I don't want to hear that. If you disagree I want to make you understand, let me reword it or explain it another way that you would understand. I don't mean to be so stubborn in this way, but if I think you are lying and your not, you better get another way to tell me that you agree, because I will automatically start telling you in other words, or in a different explanation.

That is part of the reason why I am known for arguing with teachers in high school so much. The other reason why I argued so much is because I like to understand better, ummm... more completely. I think that you just need to ask the right questions to find out what you want to know. For me, finding those questions, is sort of like hit or miss, or maybe it's more like trial and error. That's it, trial and error, try another question, and again. Occasionally, throw in a couple of my points of view (currently) so that they can asses what they have made me understand, then reorganize themselves to better explain to me what I need to know (in the future). Or maybe they will change their tactics according to what I've told them. It's sort of like a game, but it's a long and tedious process. I am sorry that it seemed to tick the teachers off, I don't think they would've been so mad if time wasn't an issue. I just don't think they enjoyed me taking up class time to look at aspects they took for granted, but that the rest of us (mostly me though) wanted to know.
no hidden messages
And just for your information, I realized that the teachers I argued the most with, were the ones I liked the most. Geometry teacher: a little, he was a very good teacher, but that's all I like him for really. My Algebra II and Pre-Calc (same) teacher: I liked her a lot. Pretty much all of my high school English teachers were great. Only one I didn't really like that much (that I argued with): the Spanish teacher. That is all for today's insight.

bored with nothing to do but homework: hey that's me, wow.

I was amused by a program that gives you a fantasy name. Kevin showed it to me. Anyway, I was trying to think of some of my own crafty names like Ezdar, High Knight of Ruckenburg, or Hopkatipar, Keeper of Peace in Nijgack, or Sade of Raullenduck. What famous self-made-up fantasy name do you go by?

Short update.

First they stick me out here in the boonies, now they're making it difficult to move!

Wartburg Track and Field, what's with Facebook's New's Feeds. Next thing you know, profiles will be viewable to everyone from any network and then what, it's only as good as Myspace. Some of us want our privacy.

I am gonna change the song on this page, hope you like it. Actually, I hope you didn't get bored with the last one (too much).

I miss Jess.

I need to do some homework, and not just now, I mean through out the week. That means I won't be posting very much.

My Favorite Smoothie

I decided to have this be a post that I would link under Smoothie recipes instead of having it on the side bar. So eventually it will disapear into the preceding inspirations, but you will always be able to view it if you click on the link in my side bar.

My Favorite smoothie is has a half can of Dole Tropical Fruit, a half bag of VIP Tropical Fruit, about 3/4 of a cup of Blue Bunny Yogurt, a handful of ice, and a half cup of any kind of Juice you like.

Grinds my Gears

Do you know what really Grinds my gears? When people play that game with you when they try to trick you. For examples:
They have these words written down and they ask you to Say this word-
MacDonalds
and this word-
MacHenry
and then they ask you to say-
MacHine.
Some people actually say Mac Hine, but most of us know it's machine. You get it? It's not that cool.

Here is another one: They ask you a question like what product are Cheese and Ice Cream and Yogurt all by products of?
You say- Milk.
They ask you another couple of questions that result in the same answer,
Milk.
So then they ask you what to Cows drink. And if your not quick on your feet you probably answer milk.

Here's what really bothers me, I am quick on my feet at least when I heard this and my immediate answer was milk. Granted they do drink water, but think for a minute people. What is a calf? It's a young cow. They drink milk, they are a cow, none the less, none the more. That's right, shut down! Think about it this way, there would be no such thing as milk if species didn't use milk to feed there young, for example young cows or calves. And that is what really Grinds my Gears. Back to you Tom.

Real Post

So basically I haven't written any real posts in a while. Umm.. to lazy to do it, and spending my energy on school, getting there, coming back, homework, and hangin' with some people.

My week end sums up like this. Well actually we'll start on Thursday where I left off. On Thursday night I went to Campus Crusades for Christ. That was quite fun. On Friday I had the usual classes. In my math class, I found out I had to take a math placement test, because... I don't really know. Anyway, I already kinda knew that, because I found out when I was logged into the Web CT. However, I had been waiting to take it, because I wanted to take the practice test a couple of times before I failed it. This Monday morning... that's a different story, I'll get to that.

On Friday evening I got back from my last class and waited for Jess to call. Then I realized I should probably shower since I smelled from trekking all over campus on my skates. As I got out of the shower I could hear my phone, from down the hall in my room, and the message that she left. I raced to catch the call, but I missed it by a couple of seconds. Good news: she said on the message that she would call back. I waited some more and finally her mom called and said they weren't too far. They didn't spend a lot of time here but I don't blame them; not much to do and they had a long day. After they left I barely caught dinner and decided that I would either catch Navigators (another christian group) or go to a gathering/party that CRU had arranged. Instead, I went to Rock or The Rock or something like that. It was a christian group concentrated on a lot of music and a little of prayer, but pretty much the same lay out as CRU. I missed most of it because I was talking to people about stuff and life and stuff in life and stuff out of life. I got some grade A advice from a 4th year architect student too.

On Saturday, I did some errands (spent money) and then I went to hang out with Kevin. We played some video games, went to Dairy Queen to visit his bored roommate, who was working, then watched V for Vendetta. V is also for any word that starts with V.

On Sunday I went to church (hard to believe?, I did). After that I went shopping, went to Perkins and ate my free meal. (Sarah, I left a good tip in honor of you; it was easy because the meal was free, but it's too bad I didn't get a free meal at just Perkins or else I might have come to eat at your Perkins and tipped you.) After a wonderful lunch I ventured about searching for a laundry mat trying to find something cheap. I didn't even find a laundry mat. So I retreated to my dorm to mosey around and look one up on the internet. I found one, it was expensive, thus I did my laundry in the basement or our building. I didn't want to do it there though because I really didn't want to mess with their complecated system. It turned out okay, considering I still haven't had to pay for it, and I'm not sure that I will have to pay it. What I'm really not sure of is weather or not I found a way to cheat the system. Wouldn't that be great? I thought so.

Monday is quite the story: I woke up well into my first class, and I mis-remembered the next part of my schedule. I was thinking my Dsn class stars at 11:00, well it does but that's my 131 class, and that's on Tuesday and Thursday. The other one, the one I needed to be remembering, starts at 10:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. While I waited for that class I thought I would actually take that Placement Test I had been so ready to take all this time. To my amazement and delight, they changed Web CT around so that the test wasn't on there anymore. I talked to some people higher up and it turns out that I don't need that test, because I took a Math 142 last year at another (real) college. Let's recap for a moment though, I missed two classes and because I went to my second class when I was supposed to be at my third class I was late for that class too. I hate it. But I'll get over it.

Today is Tuesday, and this is my favorite day of the week. Things are going a lot better, but they are about to turn around if I don't get some things done, so good bye, end of post.

P.S. Tonight I am doing Bible Study for once, and tommorrow I don't know what I'm doing. Thursday I am going to the football season opener if I can get a ticket. Friday, I may go to NAV, or The Rock Again, or not, because Greg's coming down. Saturday I hope Jess isn't busy because I want to see what she's up to, and Sunday and Monday I think I am going home to get my bike and some other things I forgot. We'll see what happens though...

Fun Fact:

A fifty foot phone cord at Wal-Mart is exactly the same price as a twenty-five foot phone cord.

Hey!

Check this out!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECZOEZcT08w&NR

My phone spot.

Well, upon request, I have decided to name my phones. Many of you may know that I have three phones... for no reason at all. Kelvin and I discussed some possible options and we ran into the idea of naming them well, pretty much dog names. This post is complete with directions on how it might sound if I told you in person myself.
This ones really random.
(slow southern accent)Let me tell you about the base phone, he's been a member of the family for the longest time. Why it seemed like just last week that I first brought him home. (no accent) Wait... it was last week. (back to accent) Anyway, I decided to call him 'old yeller' because he's kind like the top dog, you know, the one that the other two look up to. He's my old faithful, he takes care of all the important stuff for me.
My trail's cove.(taunting)
Then there's 'Duke', that's handset # 2, he's like hound. He's loyal and trustworthy, and he keeps an eye on all the other electronics on my desk. Those poor mischievous critters. He won't let them out of his sights. He's got my memorized phone numbers that he carries on him in case I decide that I want to spend 5 cents a minute to go huntin' for friends or locatin' them.
How do you like that,
Lastly there's 'Lassie'. Lassie is my problem solver, and for being handset # 3, she's very understandin' that I'm not 'liable to pick her first. But she's always willing to help, you know, she'll tell me anytime someones in the well. (no accent) I mean anytime someone is trying to reach me via telephone, in which case that person can tell me they are in the well. (back to accent) And those, folks, are the names I have given to my beloved phones*. Old yeller, Duke, Lassie and I are having the time of our lives.

Post Random Syndrome

Random Post!
Can't you see?
And a link. I don't mean to intentionally offend any females, I just think it's funny, I'm laughing mostly at what the guys are doing, not at the women.

Got Milk

MMmmm....

I should probably start updating the music of the moment now that I can. Coming soon: Scott gets around to it.
Does anybody read between the lines?
Guess what everybody, I checked out my Laptops battery number online and it is NOT on recall. I guess I got a good one, Whahoo! I am getting closer to my goal of switching my location residence here at college. If I keep this up I should be able to move in right after Labor day to the hall of my choice, which has a community of Pre-Architects like me. (smile with lots of teeth showing)

What else... what else...? Ummm...

Oh my wheels on my skates are shot. Good advice to people out there who use skates. You should not wait to switch the wheels like I did. You see, the wheels, being rubber, where out rather quickly on cement especially rough campus side walks. And because of the way you skate, by pushing side to side, the inside of the wheels develop an absence of rubber, and begin to form a sort of triangular profile. Well actually if you look at the whole wheel from the front or back and not the side, it looks like a trapezoid. To even it out you need to switch the wheels. In my case, I apparently waited too long. I used them after switching them this morning and I was thinking:
Well with only that little point of a spot for the wheel to rest on while I skate it will probably where out pretty fast and become evened out pretty fast.
I was wrong because, I checked to see how they were doing after I only skated 8 blocks, and chunks of the rubber wheel were missing like they had been torn off. It completely ruined the wheels and because of the fact that there wasn't much left of them, they were scuffing every time I leaned my skate slightly to the outside. Scuffing the casing that holds the wheels on. Yea...
Check this part out next post!
And... what else is new? I picked up a flyer from U.S. bank. What could it hurt to put some money in another well known National Bank? Well I am thinking about it, but it probably won't happen. I was only considering the convenience and possibilities.

Speaking of which, I bought a subscription to a magazine on the same baisis and I'm now pretty sure that was the stupidest impulse buy I've ever made. I got Car and Driver. Not that I won't enjoy it, just that I don't see the need to have a magazine. In all my years of living at home, not once did my family ever have a subscription to a magazine or even a newspaper. So I guess, not only do I not see the need, but I don't even see a good reason to want one. I was only thinking about it recently, like a daydream. Then some girl showed up trying to raise money to go visit Rome, and for some stupid reason, I bought into it and got a subscription.

On second thought, my family did have one thing that we got in the mail... a FREE catalog from Dell, in which I was searching for my new computer. We don't get that anymore though, because... I have a computer! Hooray for my new computer. It's only one month old.
That's about it.

You think you got it all figured out?

Stupid apple computers. At least the ones in the design building are stupid. I tried to check my hot mail, but you know what, I think it's forbidden or impossible for an apple to visit a Microsoft associated web page. It wouldn't work no matter how many times I tried. Arr!
Go cry to your moma apple...
Then I thought, oh, I'll just check out facebook. Not an option. The ones in the design center have Internet explorer, which is my browser of choice actually. Facebook said something to the effect of
computer inventor and current designers.
"We detect you are using explorer on a Mac, unfortunately that is a really old program, you need to download one of these- Mozilla, FireFox etc."
Because...
Something like that, and it did say "really old" I didn't know that. Which means I couldn't have just added it myself, that's what it said. Honestly apple (who's name doesn't deserve to be capitalized), you think you're so hot, that you've got it all figured out, well you're not, and you don't have a clue! The only thing that I ever found good in apple was the drawing program, it's way better than the one built into Word. And I will give them credit for trying, when they made it possible to have Microsoft programs like Word on their computers. But that's it.
you suck.
And another thing, When I visit this page on those computers it completely throws out the format I have set up. There is supposed to be a side bar and a main body. Well the main body is all centered so it takes up the width of the page and my sidebar becomes a sidebar only it's where the footer goes. At first I thought, this is kind of cool, but I thought about it, and I don't like it. And a lot of it comes from the fact that I pretty much hate apple computers.
They put shame to the name apple and have ruined it for the fruit. Real apples are tasty!

Neglected

Some other things I forgot to mention... but wanted to.
I am learning that you have to check your email all the time, because it's the next best thing to a phone around here, and if you don't check for emails like three times a day, you probably missed something important already.

When I said I rearranged my room earlier, I decided it wasn't for me, so I really messed it up and it took me a long time, but everthing fell into place. Now I have everything where I want it and I don't have to have one power strip feeding off of another.

I don't know why, but everytime I open up my blog, it tells me to "click if you want to run Active X controls" nevermind i fixed it just now while I was typing this. But now the player looks different. Anyway, the hassle with it before was that it did it everytime, it was annoying. I don't know what it does to your computer, but I am just glad it works on my computer.

First day of school, first day of school!

Well as anyone knows this, the first day is rarely ever hard, because all you're doing is being told what the class is about, and how you'll be graded, and other stuff like that. Pretty easy. I still have one more class but it's not until 3:10, so I have some time.
Sometimes...
I guess I neglected to mention some things lately, actually, it's because I don't make time to post, and when I do post, I forget what I was going to say before. Well, I learned to juggle, sort of, when we saw the speaker... on Friday was it? And, yesterday I got some more supplies for my room. You see, right now I have one power strip coming out of another one, because the other one won't reach for my stuff, very unsafe! So I went out and bought another one that has a longer cord. I also bought a phone. It's way sweet! It has a "base unit" with an answering machine, where I can leave myself a message for reminders and it's cordless too. And it came with two other cordless phones that I can plug in anywhere else in the house, which is my dorm room for now. Kinda pointless to have three phones in my one room right? Well they're all plugged in and everything, so I'll be sure not to miss a call.
there are too many things
Oh, and I was thinking about the cost of my dorm room. For the price I am paying I know for a fact that I could get a very decent apartment, for 10 months and pay just little more for utilities and stuff. That means one more month than I am getting, not having to share a bathroom with other people, getting more than just one room, and I could probably find one only half the distance from campus for about the same price. Plus, I haven't really found anyone to talk to on my floor. It seems that they tend to keep to themselves, so it's boring.
to read in the lines,
In other news, or stuff I don't usually forget to post, Saturday was the last day of Destination, because the only thing to do on Sunday was to pick up books together. Everybody in my group already got theirs, so we were done. On Saturday, we didn't have to do anything until 2:00. At 2:00 we went to see a speaker who spent is time as a retiree helping organize and feed hungry children in Africa, more specifically an area around a city that was founded or started because of the placement of a leprosy hospital. What happens is, in Africa, the hospitals aren't responsible for food or care of the patient other than their medical needs. It's up to the family to bring food and change bedding and other stuff for the patient. So naturally a city was sort of built around the area. They want to make the hospital capable to treat other illnesses. They are doing so much more than just that with the hospital though. The retiree happens to be a retired carpenter, so he has overseen the building of several new school buildings and houses for the teachers and doctors that are willing to help. They also, like I said, help to feed the hungry, and they are trying to boost the "economy" which practically doesn't really exist yet in most area's. They try to help the families by buying baskets that the women make and camisoles that they were taught to so. They also buy flutes from the people that they were taught how to make by a man in Ames. Every year they have people who sign up to volunteer their expertise in the medical world. And there is more, but I didn't get to do any of that stuff. Our group signed up to help package food to shipped over there.
that you can't concentrate on
I didn't get to do that either, I got to help bring already packed boxes of food down to the loading dock, and unpacked food from the semi up to the Great Hall where they were packing food. My expertise in driving pallet jacks from working at Fareway, came in handy. I was pretty proud of actually knowing what the heck I was doing with the jack.
what is between the lines.
Then, later that night, we got to see a comedian who was pretty famous. But then again, you probably wouldn't know his name if I did drop it, so I won't. After that, they had a video dance set up for us and some pizza, free I might add. I took some pizza and left, with the plan to come back in a little bit. I didn't go back, I was too tired.
Life's been good to me so far,
On Sunday, I was invited to Greg's celebration of his and his grandma's birthday parties at Old Chicago, good food. Kelvin and I hung out the rest of the day, before he had to go to work. I went to Target again, and found Wal-mart, along with a mall and yet another branch of my bank. That makes three that I know of. Where I come from there are only two. Good to know. I found out that the dining hall isn't open on Sunday's, but, the "restaurant" down stairs is. I ate there and stopped by Henry's afterward to hang out. That's actually all I did on Sunday, I thought I had a res. hall meeting; nope, it's tonight.
and 'e is making it better all the time.
Today, I had three classes this morning. I also rearranged my room today, but I'll probably end up changing it back... I also have another class, as previously stated, and also as previously stated I have a meeting tonight.

Destination

I don't know why the orientation program is called that. It's supposed to be like, hey welcome to college; this is the beginning of a great start. They make it seem like you've accomplished something by just getting here. Oh well.
No interesting hidden words today.
Yesterday, I actually walked to campus, because I realized that I wouldn't have any place to put my skates as I participated in the activities of the day. Well, I set my alarm for the morning thinking I was going to skate, but when I realized my mistake, it was too late. Because... it made me late.

I may have been late, but I made up for it with my skills of speedy eating. Then, after breakfast, we went to a few presentations to teach us about the resources and the professors and about credit cards, loans, and the college budget. We ate lunch then we went to see a group of people who do skits. They did skits about college life, when the tough stuff happens, like discrimination and well... mostly that. They had interactive skits, so you could comment on them after they were done and express your opinion on the situation and what is wrong with what was happening in the skit. The actors were really good.

I thought I was done for the day so I went back to the dorm. Then, luckily, while I was making a point to check all my emails and web pages, and facebook, I stumbled on an email in my school email box. Yes folks, I have a grand total of six email accounts, three web pages and a facebook account to keep track of. Anyway, the team leader we had, totally spaced and forgot to tell us that there was a great big thing just for Destination Students. He didn't sent it to me until 4:30 and we went to at 6:30, then we toured campus and wasted a little time, until, the thing started.

The great big thing was cool; they had free stuff, and games to play. There was a "scavenger hunt" in which we went around one of the buildings finding different shops and spots to hang out, getting our cards punched. When we were done, we turned in our cards at the book store to qualify for a free ipod nano. I wouldn't mind one of those if it was free.

Then I went and pretty much spent the rest of the night playing bunko and winning free stuff. Bunko was put on by Campus crusades, so it was really fun. I won a free meal at Perkins in Ames, two free quarter pounders from B-bpos, a free slice of pizza from Dinners and Desserts (don't ask me), a free drink from the Cafe Diem Coffee House, and a bunch of other stuff I gave away to other people who weren’t winning anything.

For those of you who know how to play bunko, I didn't until last night, but we switched teams at about every table and two of the teams I was on scored forty five points which was a lot because the other team only had about twenty when we finished the game. I think it was because I got bunko and baby bunko in the same game and my partner got a baby bunko too. That helped. Well I've got to go take care of my tuition bill, that's the end of this exciting post.

Skate Park 101

I forgot to mention the skate park here. It's a lot better than Ankeney's but it's cement and I don't much like it. Then agian it may help me become a more technical skater, since there is a lot of low stuff to skate on... like rails to grind on, and more rails to grind on, and a couple of ramps and platforms.
I know I used this, but, the day is a wastin' and I could be skatin'.
The thing I don't like is that it's made out of cement, the curves in the quarter pipes are different and it takes some getting used to, so I am limited at the moment, but I'll get better, I hope.

The beginning of the rest of my life.

It's here, it's here, it's finally here. I have finally moved out and I am at college. I am having a lot of fun already. And I finally understand first hand why they call it the freshmen fifteen. I am going to eat a lot with the all you can eat setup at the dining center. But I don't think I am going to gain much more than a couple pounds. I plan to be lifting, skating, which is a good cardiovascular workout, and maybe I'll find some place to do yoga or pilates.
Sorry everybody,
Now that I have the Internet I can post more often. And I can keep up with all my email accounts and stuff, I'm excited.
I can't think of any clever
So far, I've bummed around, I watched TV, messed with my music, naming unnamed songs, and glanced at some blogs that I haven't really read in a while. But that's not all I got done, I got my parking permit taken care of, found out where I can eat, where I can do laundry, and where I can skate. I also found out that I haven't paid for my books even though I gave them a credit card number on the Internet. It doesn't make sense, why would they need it at all if they aren't going to do anything with it?
secret messages for
Do you want to know what else doesn't make sense, I did find the laundry room, it's in the basement, but I couldn't figure out where to put my money. Then, after searching high and low, I found it, in the corner of the room, there is a swipe machine. I don't know if I am supposed to use my debit card or my ISU card. If I use my ISU card I think it will be charged to my University bill, kind of like a credit card, but I'm not sure how that works either. Goodness gracious, can't I just use quarters like everyone else, honestly. I am going to have to ask somebody about this.
this post.
Oh, and I found out where I can eat, but it happens to be on campus, unlike me, uugh. According to the girl at the desk downstairs, who kindly told me where the laundry room was, it's about a fifteen minute walk to campus. I personally didn't want to deal with the bussing system and I didn't want to walk, so I skated. Much faster than walking. Anyway, I noticed on my way back to my dorm that the building litterally right next to mine was a dining hall, but wait, there's more... It's not open anymore, I don't know if it's just a vacant building now or if they use it for storage or offices. The important thing is, sadly, that they do not serve food anymore. But that could be a good thing, because now I have to burn off some of those calories that I packed in on the way back to my dorm.
Next time, next time.
That's all folks. Maybe I'll have more to say later today.

Time is running... out.

I get to post again. Hooray! I'm over at Pat's house, hangin' out, wondering if Jimmy is going to show up. I'm going to sign up for a myspace today, we'll see how it goes.
I Strive to be faster at my work,
I have 11 days to get my forms in to the student fitness center and to have a physical, let alone schedule an appointment for a physical. I'me not sure I'm gonna make it but, I think I can.
I pride myself on quality.

Nifty Title

I decided to call it Nifty Title because I could not decide on another nifty title. Could you?
I could not find a nifty title.
I got my laptop and I like it a lot. It came with a small flash drive and a mouse with a retractable cord. It's got a 17 inch screen. I can burn and read CD's and DVD's. This is all great stuff but I'm sure a lot of people are used having a DVD burner. Anyway, I still need a carring case for it. I already have like 400 and some songs on it and I've had it for a little more than a week. The good thing though is that it doesn't take up my memory, because... I have an external hard drive. Hooray!
Not here,
I think I am going to quit my summer job on Friday the 11th since I move in for college on Tuesday the 15th. Oh, I just realized that I get to move in on my favorite day of the week. I mean I knew that it was going to be on Tuesday, I never made the coorellation before. Yeah.
not there.
Speaking of jobs, I applied for a job with the food services in college, but after looking at the schedule they had given me, which had been tacked on to my school schedule, I realized that I wouldn't have a lot of extra time, not even for homework. Plus this is going to be my first year at a "real" college, so they say, and I want to make sure I keep up my grades, so I decided I do not want the job. I will be jobless, only this time for more than just a couple of weeks.
Not a nifty title anywhere.
I still haven't had time to read Jon and Joe's blog yet, I will sometime as long as they don't delete it anything. I bet they're having fun.
Blasted titles!
The end of my summer vacation is near. I had a good one, I hope you did too.

Monday, July 17, 2006

Hello.

I'm getting more and more excited to move out for college. Hey, could someone pleaase tell me what the Joe and John's blogger site is? Anyway just getting some stuff done, Including actually odering my laptop this week. I know, I waited much to long.
Watergate does not bother me. Does your conscience bother you?
Pretty soon I will have my external hardrive working that will be exciting too. Oh boy, life's been good to me so far and things are looking up.

My new Job

Hey guess who it is?
You guessed it, it's me!
I am just posting because I am at Jessica's house and she is running with Sarah and they would rather not have me come along. I don't know why though. Any way, I have a little story to tell.
My awsome red headed, brown eyed girlfriend.
So I have an awsome construction job this summer. We are currently building a house in a new development. We (appearently) do everthing but lay cement in regaurds to building houses and we also did somewhat of a remodeling job on a bussiness that will be an architect firm when it's done. About this house though, there is another house being built right next to us. They are really slow. We started with the foundation and had to put up some basement walls, support walls included, while they were putting the plywood sheeting on the roof of their house. Then on Thursday, we had to go roof another house that had already been sheeted. We are now ready though, to put up our roof trusses and sheet the roof. They are still putting the felt on the sheeting of their roof, wich goes under the shingles. They spent all day doing some of the felt, which happened to be the day we completely felted and shingled another house. I am confident that we will not only catch up to them but finish building our house long before they do. I should also tell you that they have at least the same size crew as ours. I guess I just got a job with a good crew.
Peace out!
So that is the story and this is probably going to be the most recent post for a long time on my blog. But who knows?

Monday, May 08, 2006

Waaaa Whooo.

I just got a new pair of aggressive skates and I am sooo psyched. Plus school is out, and I just started my new Job today. Only we didn't actually do anything this morning because it was likely to rain and we didn't want to be in the middle of that job when it started to rain, so we can start tomorrow I guess...
Whisper it...
Oh and Mr. Adams didn't make me a copy of The Atom Hunter yet, but I can't wait to watch it again, that movie is like famous at Newman. It's probably the best movie in the world. Wait, like any one could ever know that. What a great excuse to beat Scott up, let's make a movie.
In someone's ear...
My grandma is going to buy me some sheets for my dorm room bed tonight, so I am excited about that too. All the closer to college I am. Man, there are so many things to be excited about!
When you're drinkin' a smoothie...
In other news there is a little place called The Coffee Cat. It's near Southbridge, across the street from First Citzen's bank in the Brick and Tile Building. If there is anybody who likes to cruise the loop, (or as I like to call it, cruise the square since Fareway sat down right on the loop) you should check it out. The owner, or manager, or both of The Coffee Cat is only a few years older than me and she came from Mankato, Minnesota. My mother swears by the place (not about the place, that is) because she thinks it is so great. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights (or is it Thursday and Friday nights?) and there is free wireless internet for anybody with a laptop or notebook (whatever you call it). My mother thinks everyone should go help to support her, and get a little coffee or a bagel or something.
Or it's a Tuesday...
Speaking of laptops, I am in the Market for one and I am sure I am going to get a Dell. Plus my dad needs one for his store. We were hoping they have a deal if you get two at a time. Maybe... I don't know, we'll see. I can't wait. Oh and I got a PNY flash drive, 2 Gig's, for only $84 plus tax. And there is a rebate on it for $15.00 so that would make it really cheap, especially for a 2 Gig. I'm also excited about that!

Or when you're at the skate park...
Sadly, until I get my laptop, I will probably not be posting very often. As many of you know, I don't have the internet at my home, and my computer is a P.O.C. anyway, so I use the school computers to do all my internet business. Ex. Email, Blog, Facebook, among many, the last and probably least, research for homework. I'm going miss you for a while blogger friends and blogger world. Maybe I can find time to go to the public Library to do that sort of stuff. Who knows? Peace and Love.
Summer is here...
P.S. I hope you all like the music and I hope it plays for everyone, this is one of my favorite songs, but as you know, I like all kinds of music. If anyone else wants the HTML code for putting a QuickTime player on their blog, it's just this but the beggining is < and it has a EMBED SRC=" after that but it won't show up when I put it down all together
Scott's blog might dissapear.
http://sistersnchrist.homestead.com/files/05 _Breakfast_NewsBoys_Take_Me_To_Your_Leader.mp3" HEIGHT=16.5 WIDTH=144>
Congrats to anyone who reads this stuff.
Then just put in a link to a mp3 file from the internet of your choice in between the quote marks. Altavista.com is a good place to search for audio files on the internet.

How dare you.

Greg:Are you underestimating my ability?
Scott:No, I was merely overestimating your weakness.
Greg:So... yes, that is the same thing.
Scott: I know.
*laughter*

This is funny.

I don't care what team your rooting for, that's pretty funny.

Six, 7, eight. Bad. Good. And a movie.

Six papers I have to write. One is done, but I have to revise it. Two are extra credit, I don't really need to do them, but I sort of do. One is late, but can still be turned in. The last two are late and probably can't be turned in anymore. Plus I have to research dream interpretations, and make a presentation for Monday, the last day of psychology.

There is also a painting I'd like to get done for Monday so I can give it to my psych teacher. I've been telling him I would finish it since the middle of last semester, and I finally started it yesterday.

Borealis smoothies are bad, they don't use real fruit, it's just flavoring.

My smoothies are good. My smoothies have real fruit and real frozen fruit, Mmmm...

I watched The Swordsmen yesterday, I think it is a great movie. The script is masterful, the coreography is wonderful, the editing adds a lot, but a very little bit of the acting could have been better, and that could have been helped by better camera shooting. No offense, I still liked the movie. Very good, very good.

Updating blog...

So as you can see, I've changed the colors of the blog and I am proud of the new scheme. I think it's bold, yet deliciously sweet, creamy and rich, and it even makes me want to have a smoothie.
Her eyes were brown, her hair was red.
You might also notice that I was able to find out how to put music on my blog. I'm so excited. Now, if you want to hear the music of the day, you can! At least I'll try my best to find the mp3 file for each music of the day.
Must of been something she said.
Anyway, these are the things that I am feeling right now... I can't wait until next fall to get down to ISU and start plugging away at the school work and the best part, moving out. At the same time I can't wait to start my summer job so I can make some money for tuition next year. It's not like I want the summer to pass me by, I definitely want to enjoy the summer, but still, I am getting excited for living on my own finally!

Drawing I

Status: Cancelled. Unbelievable.

War!!!

Today I played war instead of attending Exporing Music class because... it was cancelled. That means that I only had 9 hours of school this week, unless I don't have one of my other two classes tonight. On Tuesday, I didn't have Drawing I, for who knows why, and now I don't have Music. You know, I might even start to get angry if we don't have Drawing today, because that would be the third time in a row, and the foruth over all time. Then again, it's not like I'm missing it. Oh well, I've got homework to do, got to go. I finished my final for Composition II and now I am working on my other paper for that class. Including that one, I still have 5 papers to do, and it could be more after tonight. Life is rough, just kidding.

Countdown-
Exactly 28.5 hours or less (depending on getting let out early or not) of actuall class time left.
6 days left I that actuallty have school at all.

Wednesday, April 19, 2006

Yee ha!

There is a mechanical bull and a sort of gladiator ring at NIACC today. And there was a "moster obstacle course" (the inflatable kind) yesterday. I went through the obastacle course a few times and I intend to ride the bull today. I think it's called "Spring Week." Anyway, I don't really care, it looks fun, and that's what matters.

Countdown-
Exactly 30 hours or less (depending on getting let out early or not) of actuall class time left.
7 days left I that actuallty have school at all.

Old Fashioned

I think I am becoming old fashioned. What happened to the days when people remembered phone numbers in there heads or, heaven forbid if they couldn't remember, they had to write it down? I know I am not too old fashioned, where I know people's adresses so I can send them mail (not email, mail... yes). Although, I used to have some of my friend's adresses memorized, but then one of them moved and I forgot the other ones. I do know my girlfriends adress and both of my grandparents adresses, and of course I know my own. I intend to start remembering other people's adresses just to say that I can, and to be able to send them real mail.

A little summer poem.

I love to bike.
I love to skate.
Flying kites

and fishing bait.
I love to climb on things outside,
and going out for camping.
I love the summer sunrise.
I am the summer champion.

Tribute to Meredith

To acknowledge her brillance and wit. To acknowledge her so many accomplishments, so great of accomplishments they would be hard to describe and too abundant to be listed. And finally to address this situatation about the pony I am going to buy her. Maybe later in my life when I am rich.

Summer's in the Air.

I love summer. Forgive my spelling... lysteria steps up to the plate, salmonila gets the run, and I got a lot of sand where the sun don't shine.
Go Haywood!
I think that is somewhat how it goes by Haywood Banks. Anyway it would be better if I could remember how it goes- good tune, funny lyrics.
I love to bike. I love to skate.
I don't know about you, but winter just isn't my season. I know it's probably officially spring, but it's close enough that I don't want to wait anymore. I've been waiting for summer since the end of the last one. I noticed that I have been in a better, happier mood since the sun has been shining lately. Winter has a strong coorelation with the word "depressing" in my mind. Sure, there are things that I can find that I like about the winter, but I don't have to look for things I like about the summer, there are too many and they are too obvious to me.
Flying kites, and fishing bait.
I sometimes wonder if the fact that I don't like winter has anything to do with the fact that school stretches over the winter season, and wrestling is right, smack in the middle of it.
I love to climb on things outside and going out for camping.
Don't get me wrong, I kind of like school, learning is great, but testing is aweful. And as for wrestling, I love the sport but it is a tough sport and my love for it is a complicated love.
I love the summer sunrise. I am the summer champion.
The best part is being able walk outside and to be

--[edit, insert "un" before "comfortably"]--
comfortably hot (I like to be boiling hot, for I am almost always cold), and to look up at the sky and to know it is summer. That is all I need to feel good about the day. That is all I need to feel good about my life.

Homework(, or shall I call it) Late

Greg predicted that I wouldn't start my homework for tonight until 5:00 or after, then that I would realize he was right and get to it.
Greg was right, but the good news is that all I have to do for homework is review the next chapter that we will be covering tonight and may take a "pre-test" over.
I'll get you!
But I won't start that for a little bit, this is more important. You see, I only get to be on the internet a few times a week, unless I make a point about it. So everytime I get on, I feel that I have to check all my email accounts, read all the blogs that I read, and post on my own. Darn that Music of the Day, I never catch up to today. I have a song for each day, because I write them down as the day goes by, but I never get around to posting them. Does anybody know where I can get country music lyrics? I think that I am going to change it to Music of the Moment, that way I only have to put one song on their for everytime I get on. Yes. That seems more sensible.
I'll make it look like an accident!
Yippee! I'm signing up for classes on Wednesday, which I forgot to tell my parents about, still. I'll get around to it. Maybe I'll stop down further south to see two of my good friends. Just maybe, or maybe they will be busy.
Ha!
You better believe that I stopped by the skate park today, even if it was for a short time. It is soooo nice out today. Pretty soon, Meredith will have to be mowing the lawn.

My thoughts...

Why, only just this very day, I was given two pennies for my thoughts by Greg. Can you believe that, TWO pennies, not just one, TWO. These thoughts, they must be good.

A prayer.

Now I lay me down to sleep.
Now I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Four corners to my bed.
Four Angels there a spread.
Two to foot and two to head,
and four to carry me when I'm dead.
And if I die before I wake.
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
My grandma gave this to meon a piece of paper hanging in my room.

Posting...

On Monday my Uncle Troy passed away from a severe flu. This is for him.

So much for yesterday.

I had some homework to do that took priority to this business of posting a blog. I have some homework to do today too, but it can wait for a bit.
Smoothies for breakfast...
So over spring break...
I went to Ankeny the first weekend, I went to Des Moines the second weekend, other than that, I just hung out around here doing nothin'.
The first weekend we tried to go bowling, but once again our plans were foiled. Some event, it seems, was taking place that night just as some event also took place the last time we tried to go bowling. The good news is that we did get to go bowling the next day. Lucky for us there was nobody to complain about our poor bowling etiquette. I won the first game, which shouldn't have happened, but Greg was sucking that game. Then I improved my score the next game but still got last of three people. I had like 105 the first game and like 122 the second.

Smoothies for Lunch...
The second weekend I went to see a girl whom I call my girlfriend, and then we did something so original you wouldn't believe it, we had dinner and saw a movie. How unique. Well she made me decide what to do, and I could not think of anything extra fun that I wanted to do. I thought something traditional wouldn't hurt. Oh and while we were at the walking around mall between dinner and a movie, a lady, standing outside the jewelry store, handed us a little brochure which contained many expensive items for sale. We both thought it was kinda funny. And another thing about that mall, I happened to see this girl named Sierra, with whom, among others, I traveled to Spain with two years ago. I swear, I see that girl all the time, everywhere when I am not expecting it. It was a lovely trip to see a lovely girlfriend.

Smoothies for supper.
Then I worked on some skate park tricks I had been learning, drop in backwards from everything but the 9 foot, front side and back side grinds, 180 the spine, fakie 180 (I think that's what that one is called), back flip, just kidding, and some major gaps and transfers I've been working on.
Representin' smoothie revolution.
And I played some San Andreas that I just got recently. I'm so glad I waited for it to drop to $20. I'm already kind of board from it, I'll probably have to wait for like a month before I have the urge to play it at all again. What a week. Peace out.

Ahh. After a long spring break.

I am going to update this again tommorrow with stuff that I really want to put down right now but,

the day is a wastin'
and I could be skatin'.
skatin' fool!
So I was trying to look up Akon- Survivor for the oh-so-important
Music of the Day, but lyricdondemand.com doesn't have it. so now I am looking for it elsewhere, unless I am wrong, but I was sure that he sang that one.
What?
Now what?
Then what?
Oh well. Be back tommrorow.

Speaking of which.

I got a blender from my place of employment for $10 a while ago. Meanwhile at my house, we recently broke a blender, bought another one, broke that one and this time decided to only re-order the vase part. But, now the lid we have doesn't fit because the first vase was a circular one and this one is square. Talk about bad luck!
You know that girl Jessica? I like her.
Speaking of bad luck, I have bad luck with sun glasses. I have had like 10-15 pairs in the past year and a half, and all but one of those pairs are broken. I have two other pairs that I never wear because one of them doesn't look right on me because they are small from when I was small lad. The other pair is a pair of cheap glasses that I got by saving up tickets at the arcade. They have been bent a few times, but they look alright because they can be bent back pretty easily. I just don't wear them that often though because of how cheap they are.
With great power, comes great responsibility.
And I don't mean to be so negative, but I also have another bit of bad luck. Every time I have planned to go to visit my girlfriend this semester, that being only two (but still) she has decided to go home, which is much closer to me now than where she goes to college. Alas, the plan is in motion and I can not change it because there are two other people depending on the trip's completion. Dare I say three, and still not include myself. What are the odds of that. I swear it's not like the plan to go down there is just made up in the last week before it happens. We made the fist plan like a month in advance, and this last one was made like, well started a lot earlier than that, but was finalized like two weeks before hand, I think.
With great responsibility, comes great power.
I wish, right now, that I was at the skate park, for it is a "beautimus" day out today. And the next time I get the chance will be during the middle of next week, and who knows if this weather will be there for me then. Sigh.
Your best guess is... to do so.
Yay for my class tonight at 6:30 PM, as it is the last until the 6:30 PM on the 20th of March. Good for not having class on Friday and Wednesday.

Mmhmm.

Sometimes, I want to shout out loud when I hardly ever speak at all. Something of the sort, it was in a song I heard on the radio.
I can't listen to enough music in the day.

I am liking those Mountain Dew Vault commercials. Get to it!

OMG

Oh my Gosh.
Read between the lines.
You would not believe who I saw at the hockey game on Saturday. None other than our very own famous local news caster. Unnamed for certain reasons. But let me tell you, It was an honor. I can not tell you in words the joy that I had found.
Just kidding, but I do wonder what his reaction would be if someone freaked out about seeing him.

I like cinnamon gum.

Friday

So I changed a bunch of things in this blog, and I added a new one to my set, and gave an adress for the other two. I am proud of myself. Although, there are probably much better things that I could be up to.
Today I have to work two shifts, I am between them right now. I got a call from this lady at my work this morning. I swear she works harder to get out of working than she does while she's at work. And she spends more time getting out of work than she does actually working. But I felt obligated because I know how it feels when staff is short and I am working. Plus, I get the pay check. So it's all good.
Who ever wrote a comment on my last post, please, let me have it. I want to know. And why "Anonymous"? It's not like it will bother me if someone has a different opinion. So let's hear it.

Etiquette

Well, last Saturday night we went bowling. I was having fun, until someone next to us got up to tell us that we should practice bowling etiquette. What the... is that about? How do you practice etiquette when your bowling, honestly? I didn't know that bowling was so much like golf. Now you have to take extra precautions just to make sure that surrounding bowlers are comfortable? I hate those kind of people. If they can't concentrate with distraction, even as minor as someone in another lane bowling at the same time as them in bowling, or someone else talking at an indoor level, on the next hole over in golf. They shouldn't be aloud to complain, I mean if they can't concentrate, it's their own darn fault. This is all I have to say to those people: Go cry to your mom.
I will bowl however I want, and whenever I want, because I can't be distracted by stupid things like that. And if I screw up, when something like that happens, you can be sure that I am not going to blame someone else. It's not like they threw the bowling ball in the gutter or duffed the golf ball only about 15 yards. I am the only one who can be blamed for something like that.
I was trained in wrestling. You see, we wore headgear so that we didn't get "cauliflower ear" so it was easy to zone out anything else but the match. For something as simple as bowling or golf, being able to zone out everything else should be incredibly easy (even if you don't have something to muffle the sound out) that you shouldn't have to think about it. In fact, I believe that the more you try not to think about something the more that you do, so don't think about it, go with it. For example, if I said not to think about the color green, it would be hard not to if you concentrated on not thinking about green. See what I mean. Well that concludes this hour of "What's wrong with the world today?"

Maybe it's just me.

I am Scott. I like music, art and math. I think that anything out of the ordinary is top notch. It's what I strive for. Sometimes what I strive to be. When I leave a place I want to come back and and they will remember me, because I wasn't just another somebody, you know, as long as they don't remember me because they don't like me or anything like that.
Do you think that me being a big fan of art and music and all things creative could have anything to do with my pursuit in life to be an architect, or could it be that because I am interested in all those things that I have ultimately chose to become an architect. I think it is really because of my parents. My dad built our kitchen's entire cabinet collection (or whatever you'd like call it) and I helped to remodel our house. I found many things that I do not like about our house, even though it is pretty normal. I wish things around our house had more utility and that we had more storage areas. That could be some of the reason I like some things that are artistc, but I doubt if it has much to do with it. Probably, that subject is directly related to my wanting to be an achitect. My mom went to college recently to become a CPA and that may be why I like math. But for some reason, I have no idea why I like music and art. I don't know why I like music at all, I can't play any instruments and I can't sing. Although, I think it would be sweet to learn how to play some enstruments, the guitar and the trumpet among others. I also like to think of myself as problem solver. There is always another way to do something, always. I am always thinking of someway that I could put more storage into a house without it having to be very noticable. I like things that have utility, you know, they can do more than just sit there, or do the one thing they were invented for.
So I like mathematics and art, I intend to have a nice home that has lots of utility, and I am somewhat of problem solver. What could be better for me than to become an architect?

Radio

I recently started listening to yahoo music whenever I am on the computer. It is the greatest thing, especially for being free and NOT illegal. I can pick weather or not a song gets played ever again, and if I rate it, it decides on the frequency that it gets played. Like controlling your own radio station. I prefer the radio over stuff like CD's, cassette tapes, eight tracks, and records. I like the excitement of hearing a great song by chance. I get bored being able to pick my own song every time. The only way to fix that problem is to listen to the radio, or to push the shuffle button. So I choose radio. But it is better if I can narrow it down to songs I like.
And speaking of Radio, that is also a good movie. -random

Did you ever have to make up your mind?

Did you ever have to finally decide?

American or Foriegn cars?
Community College or University?
Coke or Pepsi?
Girlfriend or "the guy's"?
In some cases: Boyfriend or "the girls"?

Sleep or do homework?

Points to Ponder.

Did you ever wonder when people who are born on a 29th of February celebrate their birthdays when it's not a leap year? Do they even celebrate thier birthday's during those years, who knows?

Will the Goo Goo Dolls ever make it known that they remade that song called "Give a little Bit" which was originally by Supertramp sometime in the 70's or 80's? How many of you knew that, unless I already told you, then you don't count. I mean it did make the charts and stuff for sometime, they kind of owe it to the makers of the song.

Will Sarah ever consider the North Iowa Area Community College to be a college? If she did, I might take Wartburg off the Fake College list. Stop calling me names, or else I'll call you names.

What am I going to do with my life? I have some plans and general ideas, but you never know.

Last, this came to my attention by thinking about the fact that my gay co-worker is no longer employed where I work. Hooray.
Did it ever occur to you that homosexual people are extremely selfish? They have no respect for the reason of their very own existence. What if everyone was homosexual? The entire human race would dissapear off the face of the Earth. On the other hand, I guess it is Ok, I mean maybe it is better that since that choice of action, being a stupid and selfish one, directly results in the removal of thier genes from the rest of the gene pool. Unless they have a sperm donar or seragate (sp?) mother, then we're in trouble. And just for clarification I haven't any problems with those kind people, I just don't think they should be homosexual.

Good News.

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico. Well, actually I didn't, I just felt like being un-original. But I did get accepted to ISU. Hooray. I already accepted their offer of admissions online and applied for housing. We will continue to bring you updates on that as we receive more information. In other news, apparently, eggs are not the reason for your high level of cholesterol. But we won't tell you why. HA Ha ha ha ha.
I had a full five day weekend last week. Yeah. As you may know, I already have no school on Wednesday and Friday, but when school got canceled 0n Thursday due to weather complecations, well, you do the math. If you count the exact hours, it's a little more than 6 days. Sounds like a pre spring break to me.
I ended up working each day from Wednesday to Sunday. That should help that pay check! Cheese. (you know, when you smile for a picture) Speaking of Sunday, I actually went to church. That makes two in three weeks. Yea, that's right. Holy Cow. I mean, Holy God.
To anyone who reads this, I need some assistance. Shall I use black, or cool colors like blue and green, or warm colors like red and orange? You don't need to know what it's for, just tell me what you think.
Peace out.

Trying to quit...

I have decided to add this to my New Year's resolutions. I will stop pretending that I’m talking to someone on my cell, that I don't have, to seem wicked cool.

A Bust

Last weekend was a bust. Everything worked out fine and it was a jolly weekend, but we did not go bowling, I did not see my Girlfriend in Des Moines, instead I traveled back to headquarters to see her, on the other hand, the good news is that I didn't have to work on Sunday. More later, after I eat lunch with Greg. Oh and, Hooray for being able to use to be verbs with no consequences aside.
Well now I am am done with lunch and my other class and I am finishing this. There is not much else to say, on the subject except it was all messed up trying to figure out what I was going to do. It turns out that the third party of the special bowling mission didn't get down to Ankeny, which is where we went before we actually went to the capital, until 2:00 in the morning on Sunday... Wow! Anyway, I returned to the headquarters on Saturday and visited my girlfriend where I was invited to help take her back to school in Des Moines (dez moan-ez). That was fun. We went to Jordan Creek Mall and then we went to a golf dome sort of thing in Johnston. That was cool, it was like an indoor driving range. (I think I am going to pick up golfing again this summer.) Then we went to drop her off and we went back home. It took a lot longer than that paragraph did to actually do all that stuff and other stuff in between. I am glad because that just means more time with my girlfriend. Yeah, so I got to go down there twice in one weekend. Oh and when we were down there on Sunday, we decided to drive to terrace hill (idk the proper name?). We saw three deer while driving around it, yet again... Wow! That was the weekend.
This is today. I had two classes today, and then I went to the skate park for like an hour or so, it was pretty fun, I did better than I thought I would, after as long as it's been since I last skated. Although I must warn you, I suck at skating. About the only things I have going for me are that I can drop in three different ways, I can transfer over a few small gaps, I canclear the spine, and I can stop at the top of the quarter pipes and come back in. From there I can either come in backwards or jump, do a 180 and come back in. But that is it, that is the entire list. I would not know where to begin to name all the grinds I can not do.
Oh and, Hooray again for being able to use to be verbs with no consequences aside.

Bowlathon

For this weekend I will be carrying out a special operation and this letter was sent to me yeasterday, via electronic mail. I must be discrete so that none of the details can be deciphered and sabotaged.

Mrs. Esterhouse,

The plan for early departure to the capital is a go. I have a test of my knowledge at 8:50 and should commence an hour later depending upon the size of the assessment, and the number of poor souls that will be taking the assessment with me. Once completed; we shall rendezvous at headquarters, and I will make communication with you when I am departing the testing grounds and heading to the rendezvous point. After meeting at the rendezvous point, we shall depart heading south for the capital, to complete the operation's main objective. Good luck to you on your endeavors until Friday and God speed.

We shall communicate thursday, so as to recieve final orders and clarify the details, but it is uncertain at what time this will take place.

Mr. Sanderson

Super Bowl Sunday extended...

As Greg mentioned, I had completely forgotton the fact that most people would not know that my sister was baptized that morning, at the ten o'clock mass. Almost all of our family came, meaning my parents brothers and sisters and thier parents and kids. With the exception of my aunts and her family who live in Nevada, and one of my uncles who is unable to travel very far away from home very often. I randomly learned that my friend's church claps when they are done with the service, and I re-learned (something I know I've been told before) that the oil used to baptize my sister is basically olive oil ( I think) with balsum (I know). The day went well.

As for today... It was liberating, what more can I say, I made it through, and I am thankful for being here. And today, I finally figured out how to put a picture next to my profile. While the fruit loop picture is appealing to me, I think it would be better if I somehow had way to put my own picture next to it. That is all.

Super Bowl Sunday

Yesterday as many of you know, was super bowl Sunday. In fact you must be from another continent if you did know that. I am proud to say that it was my and my girlfriend's... How do you say month-iversary. We have been dating for ten months. However, the month before last, when the subject came up, she tried to convince me that it was on the 4th of the month, but it was not, I should know, I was the one to ask her. But, I guess maybe it wasn't that important for her to remember. I don't mind though.
I won't hold you against it Jessica.
Anyway, about the super bowl, I wanted the Seahawks (sp?) to win, and they didn't. Oh well, I don't really care, it's not like I was following them or anything. Their is no sense in getting upset about someone elses mistakes, that you can't fix. I am not even sure how to spell their mascot name. I don't like to watch sports. It's not because I am a sissy, I just think it's boring to watch other people play sports unless you actually go to the game or you're in part of it. The Outlaw's hockey games are fun to watch, only because I go to them, but I would never watch them on TV. I like to play sports much more than I like to watch them, so that you can do something about the score. And one of the few reasons I watch the super bowl other than to say that I did (so no one makes fun of me), is for the commercials. I thought that the Ameriquest commercials were the best. Some other good ones were the Fedex one, and the one about the cell phone with crime deterrent. Well done, marketing teams.

Some Rules to Follow

Obey the Golden Rule so that everyone can exist in peace and harmony.
Shhhh, Quiet.
Leave room when passing people on bicycles on the road.
Lend your helping hands. Even if you only put them together to pray with.
Behavior is a mirror of self image. So, don’t be someone your not. And present yourself well.
Life is a box of cereal, don’t eat it all at once. In other words, don’t take life for granted, and move on through it before you know where it went.
Life is a garden dig it. Have fun. Dig though and find out what you can about your life.
The invisible hand that pushes us, is the competiion that drives us. Competition is good as long as you practice good sportsmanship.
God, here's one for you, nothing you're not used to, or that you haven't already done: Could you please bless this world?
